Best street pads... posted by Nismoz3255 (Albany) on June 25, 2008 at 04:52 PM

They will work well for pretty much anything in daily driving. However, they aren't the 'best' for stopping power.
When I found my Metal Matrix pads fading badly at autoX, I bought a set of HP+ and continued to use them daily driving on the street, winter and summer. I put a lot of miles on them, in *extreme* conditions, and they are fine.
Use a good anti-squeal compound when installing them and bed them in properly and they will be trouble-free. Others have driven my car on many occasions and liked the brakes, Porsche drivers as well. There is not as much dust as everyone whines about and it washes off easily. I've certainly had dustier brake pads on other cars that didn't perform as well.
My .02 from four years of daily driving both HP+ and 2 years on HPS on both Z's.
